Why FROZEN Cookies?

The Ultimate Midsummer Realization
Not that any of us here in the Midwest want to be reminded of winter, but every now and then on a hot, humid summer day, our minds wander in that direction.
As I pondered the idea that I am stuck in the house because of heat and not cold, I munched on one of my frozen cookies and thought, "Dang, this is the BEST way to eat these chewy, old-fashioned style cookies!"
These are better than a frozen Snickers Bar—the chew factor is absolutely perfect. Because they are baked with rich, real ingredients, these cookies don’t freeze into a solid, tooth-shattering block. Instead, they become ultra-dense, incredibly chewy, and deliver pure sub-zero refreshment.
Why Frozen?
We’re a little off the beaten path here in Wisconsin—tucked away on a country farm road—so our customer base is seasonal and intermittent. We never quite know who is going to stop by, or when. I wanted to make sure that whether you pull into our farm store on a quiet Tuesday morning or a bustling Saturday afternoon in the peak of summer, you get a cookie that tastes like it just left the oven. So, I bake our giant farmhouse cookies in small batches and flash-freeze them the exact moment they cool. No stale bakery cases. No day-old crumbs. Just honest farm baking, locked in at zero degrees—intentionally frozen for a superior chew—ready whenever you roll in.
Choose Your Own Adventure: The Thaw-to-Preference Timeline
You don't have to eat them frozen if you don't want to! We offer a choose-your-own-adventure culinary snack. Use this guide to find the texture you enjoy most:
0 Minutes: The "Frozen Snickers" texture. Firm, fudgy, and intensely chewy.
10 Minutes: Soft edges with a firm, cold, truffle-like center.
20 Minutes: Fully thawed. Soft, pillowy, and tastes exactly like it was baked this morning.
15 Seconds in the Microwave: Hot and fresh out of the oven!

If you're new to our store you'll find we run on the SELF-SERVE model. You won't likely see me, the cookie coop farm store fairy. I work magic behind the scenes refilling, tidying up and coming up with new treats each week in the summer for your enjoyment. You might see the farmer out and about around the buildings. He'll be cutting, raking and baling hay most of the summer. If you see one of the tractors, give him a wave.
Enjoy your summer adventures! Hopefully you'll make our farm store a stop on your itinerary.
Sending love from the farm,
Sarah
