Watching Spring Unfold

Whenever someone starts rearranging the furniture, it's likely they feel irritated or unsettled; feng shui is out of alignment. The opposite is true as well. When the physical things in our lives are in balance, they don't cause blocks or conjure annoyance, it's likely we are content.

Can we be content even when things are out of balance? Yes, by making beautiful and creating inside the blockage. We humans create, and as long as creativity is allowed its purchase, we can thrive.

I've not been writing lately. Why is it, I wonder, that a thing so near and dear to me has mostly vanished? I suppose it is because other creative measures have drawn me away momentarily...or simply that I'm enthralled watching Spring unfold around me. Or perhaps because sitting with the computer on my lap makes me antsy. Either way, I've been pulled outside - to the gardens, to mowing, to planting - to making beautiful...noticing beautiful.

William is hauling manure to prepare the organic fields for corn. The sunflowers are the last crop to plant. If all goes as planned, we'll have gorgeous sunflowers around the SECOND WEEK IN AUGUST.

In the meantime, you know the Farm Store is filled to the brim with goodness. My new favorite thing this week is ASPARAGUS SOUP! You all know I like unique flavor pairings...in this case nutmeg and lemon make the asparagus soup sing!
