Farm Experiences Anyone?

One thing that has become very apparent since I bought my little farm and moved to Western Wisconsin is that no matter the chaos and noise in the outside world, here I am calm, quiet and peaceful. Being in nature and breathing deep into the long views and pastoral landscapes has centered and regulated my nervous system, and since my first days away from the city, I have wanted to share this magic with others.

This year I intend to offer a variety of FARM EXPERIENCES for guests to come and benefit from the nurturing and calming energy of this place.

You will notice a new tab on our Lake View Organic Farm website where you can find my offerings or "Experiences" as they become available.

The first event is a Farm-to-Farm Walking Tour. This is an opportunity to join me on my daily walk, connect with the natural world, visit, make friends, and learn a little about the local history of the area if that interests you. Come solo, bring a friend or bring a team. All are invited.

The walk takes approximately 2.5 hours and will take place on a mix of gravel paths and paved surfaces, making it accessible yet adventurous. Be prepared for a couple of steep hills along the way, which will add a moderate level of challenge to the trek. This hike requires an intermediate fitness level. It is essential to wear sturdy and comfortable shoes, as the terrain may vary.

This experience is open to individuals aged 14 and older, making it a perfect opportunity for families and friends to bond while exploring the natural beauty and agricultural richness of Driftless Wisconsin together.

March can be cold and windy. If temperatures are in the 20-30s it is suggested to dress in layers. A lightweight winter snow pant is an advisable top layer as is a wind resistant and warm coat. If temps are in the 40s or 50s lighter layers are recommended. Hats and mittens will be needed in all temps. We will send out final recommendations the day before the scheduled walk. If weather should turn too wintery/icy we will cancel this event.
